HaparandaTornio wants to speak gay
In the twin city of HaparandaTornio, the Border pride event will be held virtually this summer. The event communicates boundless love and inspired the area's tourism project to organize How to speak gay lectures. The area is famous for its borderless life in two countries. The Two Countries –One Destination Interreg project develops tourism that unites the region and creates unlimited tourism services.
“We feel that even though we are, so to speak, one big family, our culture, language and way of communicating is different on both sides of the border. There is always something to learn and tell in communication. It is good to know the diverse ways of communicating and therefore we feel it is important to bring communication to the rainbow crowd as well, ”says Noora Barria, the project's marketing manager. Hannu Medina has been invited as a lecturer.
Hannu Medina is the founder of We Speak Gay and Finland's only expert in rainbow tourism and rainbow communications. Hannu Medina is happy to talk about the importance of diversity and inclusion in society and companies.
“We Speak Gay is a new language. It is a language of diversity and empathy. It is a language that everyone understands, but speaking requires learning, Medina describes. He aims to make Finland the most rainbow-friendly country in the world with the help of a new language, education and communication.
